The 10 Most Valuable Cards in Ascended Heroes
A ranking of the ten priciest cards in Ascended Heroes, and what their combined value says about whether you should be opening packs or buying singles.
2026-09-16
Ascended Heroes has 295 cards, and every one of them has a price attached — no gaps, no guesswork. That makes the arithmetic on this set unusually clean. The combined value of all priced cards in the set is $5,281.54. The ten cards below account for $4,035.89 of that.
Which is most of it. The top ten are not merely the best cards in the set; they are, near enough, the set's entire value, and the rest of the 295 is a long tail of things you will open a great many of.
The concentration goes further than that. The single most valuable card is 24% of the ten's combined value, and the top two together are 46%. The cheapest card here is $122.64 and the median is $319.38 — a gap that tells you the drop-off inside the top ten is itself steep. Here they are, from tenth to first.
10. Mega Feraligatr ex
Mega Feraligatr ex
Ascended Heroes · #274/217 · Special Illustration Rare
Illustrated by Souichirou Gunjima
$122.64
The entry point to the top ten, and the cheapest card on this list. A Special Illustration Rare by Souichirou Gunjima.
Worth noting what "cheapest of the ten" means in a set this top-heavy: it is still a long way clear of everything outside the ranking. If you open Ascended Heroes and this is your hit, you have had a good box.
9. N's Zoroark ex
N's Zoroark ex
Ascended Heroes · #286/217 · Special Illustration Rare
Illustrated by Raita Kazama
$149.45
Raita Kazama on a Special Illustration Rare, and effectively tied with the card above it — the two sit within a couple of dollars of each other.
That sort of clustering is normal at the bottom of a top ten. It also means the ninth and tenth positions could swap places without anything meaningful having happened. Do not read ordering at this end as a judgement.
8. Lillie's Clefairy ex
Lillie's Clefairy ex
Ascended Heroes · #280/217 · Special Illustration Rare
Illustrated by Naoki Saito
$150.93
A Naoki Saito Special Illustration Rare, and the last card on the list under $150.
Eighth place is where the list starts to separate. Above this point the prices roughly double, then double again. Below it, the whole rest of the set.
7. Mega Dragonite ex
Mega Dragonite ex
Ascended Heroes · #295/217 · Mega Hyper Rare
Illustrated by aky CG Works
$221.60
The first of two Mega Hyper Rares here, illustrated by aky CG Works, and the first of two Mega Dragonite ex entries.
Dragonite appearing twice in a ten-card list is one of the more striking features of this set's value distribution. The other version sits considerably higher up.
6. Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex
Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex
Ascended Heroes · #281/217 · Special Illustration Rare
Illustrated by Mitsuhiro Arita
$285.95
Mitsuhiro Arita's Special Illustration Rare, and a card that needs very little introduction on the strength of its subject and its illustrator alone.
Sixth by value, and just below the median of the ten. From here the numbers climb in a way they have not so far.
5. Pikachu ex
Pikachu ex
Ascended Heroes · #277/217 · Special Illustration Rare
Illustrated by James Turner
$319.38
James Turner's Special Illustration Rare Pikachu, and the median card of this ranking at $319.38. Exactly half the list sits above it and half below.
It is also the second of two Pikachu ex Special Illustration Rares in the top ten, which — along with the two Dragonites — makes four of these ten slots duplicates at the species level. The set concentrates its money on a very short roster of names.
4. Mega Charizard Y ex
Mega Charizard Y ex
Ascended Heroes · #294/217 · Mega Hyper Rare
Illustrated by aky CG Works
$357.75
A Mega Hyper Rare by aky CG Works, and the highest-placed card in the ranking that is not a Special Illustration Rare.
Fourth is a slightly awkward position in a list this top-heavy: comfortably the best of the mid-table, and still not close to the podium. The three cards above it are in a different bracket entirely.
3. Mega Dragonite ex
Mega Dragonite ex
Ascended Heroes · #290/217 · Special Illustration Rare
Illustrated by DOM
$584.82
DOM's Special Illustration Rare, and the more valuable of the set's two Mega Dragonite ex cards by a wide margin.
Third place, and the first card on the list to clear $500. It is worth more than the fifth, sixth and seventh cards here would be worth if you had to pick one — a reminder that "top ten" flattens a distribution that is anything but flat.
2. Mega Gengar ex
Mega Gengar ex
Ascended Heroes · #284/217 · Special Illustration Rare
Illustrated by danciao
$883.69
danciao's Special Illustration Rare, and the runner-up. Together with the card in first place it makes up 46% of the ten's combined value — two cards, near enough half the money.
That is the number to hold onto if you are weighing packs against singles. Whatever you open, the odds of hitting one of these two specifically are the odds that matter, and everything else is consolation.
1. Pikachu ex

Ascended Heroes · #276/217 · Special Illustration Rare
Illustrated by booota
$959.68
The most valuable card in Ascended Heroes: booota's Special Illustration Rare Pikachu ex, and the only card on the list to approach four figures. It alone is 24% of the ten's combined value.
A quarter of the top ten in one card, and a Pikachu at that. There is something reliably absurd about a set full of Mega evolutions and Team Rocket's Mewtwo being topped by a small yellow rodent, but the numbers do not care what I think, and neither does anybody bidding.
The practical read on Ascended Heroes is straightforward. Value is concentrated at the very top, two cards carry close to half of the top ten between them, and 295 cards priced means there are no hidden pockets waiting to be discovered elsewhere in the set. If you want one specific card from this list, buy that card. Opening packs is a fine hobby, but it is not a plan.
Prices shown are the market values recorded when this article was written on 2026-09-16. Each card page carries the current figure.
